Why Teachers in Australia Choose Online Training
Early reading in Australia is taught in government, independent and Catholic schools, and teachers meet children with very different levels of English. Australian schools have moved firmly towards systematic synthetic phonics, including the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. Teachers, tutors and teaching assistants who want a clear, structured method for explicit phonics instruction can train live online, with batches placed on Australian afternoons and weekends.
No Travel
Join from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide or anywhere else in Australia.
Time Zone That Works
AEST/AEDT (UTC+10 or +11) is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of India (5 hours 30 minutes in daylight saving). A 10:30am IST session starts at 3:00pm in Sydney or Brisbane in AEST.
Live, Not Recorded
Sounds, actions and blending are demonstrated, practised and corrected in session.
Built for Mixed-Language Classrooms
Many children in Australia speak a language other than English at home; a sound-first method gives them a clear route into English reading.
