Jolly Grammar will be the next stage after Jolly Phonics. The materials give guidance and resources to help children teach Grammar. It is multisensory and active, emphasizing consolidating Jolly Phonics’ knowledge and assisting children in understanding how Grammar works.
Jolly Grammar uses colors and actions to help children identify parts of speech in sentences. For example, verbs are red while nouns are black. Jolly Grammar is a systematic way to teach Grammar, spelling, and punctuation. It’s full of great ideas and fun ways to remember some of the rules.
How does Jolly Grammar function?
Jolly Grammar teaches essential grammar rules that help children improve their spelling and bring variety to their writing. Jolly Grammar can teach various languages, including the parts and plurals of speech, punctuation and the tenses present, future, and past. It also introduces a wide variety of spelling rules, including defining aspects such as short vowels.
Jolly Grammar uses colors, actions, and symbols to help children identify the parts of speech within sentences. Verbs are red, and nouns are black, for example. Jolly Grammar offers teachers a method to teach Grammar, spelling, and punctuation. It is filled with fun ideas and ways to remember the rules.
Jolly Grammar is designed for four years of teaching. Together with Jolly Phonics, they provide a course for the first four years.
